MD-IT began nine years ago as a software company providing speech recognition software to physicians. Our customers liked our products but asked if we could provide transcription services to meet all of their documentation needs. We realized that MTSOs were uniquely positioned as a distribution channel for information technology and, in 2005, initiated a roll-up strategy to combine our technology platform with medical transcription services. What differentiates us from competitors is a business model that emphasizes all-important local customer relationships while benefiting from shared back-office costs and best practice methodology.

MD-IT is a privately-held company with medical transcription services and software products used by over 7,000 physician customers in 950 practices nationwide. The management team has grown multi-million dollar companies in other industries, and sees the same opportunity for growth in the medical transcription industry.
