Susan has been active in the medical transcription industry since 1988, first as a medical transcriptionist and then as a transcription business owner.

In 1997, she founded MedTrans Unlimited where she served as the company's president. Susan started the business with 23 physician customers, and under her leadership it grew each year until it served over 250 physicians. In 2008, MedTrans Unlimited was acquired by MD‑IT.

Prior to becoming a medical transcriptionist, Susan worked in a variety of industries including banking and energy. She found medical transcription to be the perfect career choice, as she enjoys the challenge of continually learning new things about medicine and technology.
