MD-IT began five years ago as a software company providing speech recognition and document management software to physicians. Our customers liked our products but asked if we could provide transcription services to meet their complete documentation needs. We realized that transcription companies were uniquely positioned as a distribution channel for information technology and, in 2005, initiated a strategy to integrate our technology platform with existing transcription services.

Our goal is to create a new kind of transcription company that combines the benefits of local ownership with the resources of a national company.
