HIPAA compliance requires stringent security and privacy practices that are intended to ensure patient confidentiality for all healthcare related information. MD-IT uses many security features in order to ensure that your data is accessed only by the users you designate.
 

Key privacy and security features include:

• Redundant secure data centers. Secure hosting and file storage at ViaWest facilities in Denver, Colorado with state-of-the-art security, power systems, disaster control, and IT monitoring. Voice files, data files, and database information backed up hourly.
   
• File capture and transmission. Telephone dictations are captured on a secure voice server located at our hosted facility. Digital voice recorder files are transmitted using SSL (secure sockets layer) technology.
   
• Workforce. MD-IT employees receive training on all HIPAA compliance policies and procedures. All employees, partners, and subcontractors sign agreements covering HIPAA compliance and undergo a background check prior to employment.
